In our community you don’t have to wait long before someone drops the “there’s nothing to do” complaint, specifically for the youth. That is one key reason VCTA was founded: to end that attitude forever. The outdoors is fun, and more access to it is good for everyone. Especially kids.

To create a culture of recreation, we have to start with the next generation of trail users, now.
Bike Racing for Fun (and sometimes scholarships)
Part of VCTA’s mission includes founding cycling programs in local schools and the eventual creation of a local NICA chapter. This way, we can both host events locally, bringing much needed visitors to the community, and hopefully also send some kids to school on cycling scholarships, a reality that is more and more common every year.
